After getting a draw in the opening match of the UEFA Champions League Manchester United will be hosting swiss side FC Basel in the Matchday 2 programme of the UCL. Manchester United are coming into this match on the back getting a draw in the difficult away game at Stoke and they will be hoping to bounce back after surrendering their 100% record in the league.

Sir Alex has been saying in the press that how difficult this game agaisnt Stoke at their home ground has become for teams and that is good for the league as their are different challenges. Manchester United will be without some of the big name player in this match as Rooney and Hernadez will be missing from the forward line while Vidic wont be playing due to Injury so we might see Berbatov and Owen playing together which is a good combination to try.
FC Basel on the other hand are in great form and they are in such good form that they were winning 5-0 at the halftime in their recent league match and although they are visiting a stadium which has become like a fortress for the home side, Basel should take heart from Stoke's performece against United.
